This is a good news for all the owners of Nokia X2-00. Nokia has released an update for Nokia X2-00 software as v08.35 which is dated 9th Jan 2012. Currently, the official website of Nokia X2-00 shows v8.25 but v08.35 is available now. The details of this new update are:
- Model – Nokia X2-00
- Version – 08.35
- RM-618
- Date of Firmware – 09-01-2012
NOTE: To check your software version, type *#0000# on the main screen.
We have tested this new update and didn’t experienced any major changes but yes, there are few improvements.
- Improved Camera Image Processing
- Applications Updated (Store, Music, Email etc. )
- Small Performance Improvements
How to Update
You can either update your phone software through your mobile. You will need GPRS/EDGE connectivity for this. Go to Settings > Phone > Phone Update > Downl.phone sw. Make sure you’ve made the back ups of your mobile data.
You can also update your phone via Cable using Nokia Suite however this method currently works only for few phones and gives an error for some phones. If have any questions or need help in Installing this update, please post in comments section.

You have to first update your ovi suite. Then try uploading your phone’s software.
For me, this update worked with the Software update through Phone. I don’t know about Ovi Suite. Please try updating the software using your Phone’s inbuilt software update tool. Go to “Settings>Phone>Phone Updates>Download phone sw”. It should display about the v08.35 update.
Download Nokia suite on your pc or laptop, you’ll get it from here: http://www.nokia.com/in-en/support/product/nokia-x2-00/downloads/
then connect the phone to your pc or laptop and then open in Nokia Ovi Suite mode. After that go to the Suite, Go to software update tab on the top and download your x2-00′s new software! I downloaded it the same way and the new software makes your phone a bit fast and also improved with camera function as Shrivant have mentioned it in the blog. hope it works
Yes, the best part of this update was the Camera processing however I have experienced low battery backup but it might be the fault of my battery and not the phone though.

Nope, so far it seems to be a better one. Camera processing improved a bit. Some high memory usage games are bit laggy but not everytime. I’ll suggest to upgrade to this version.
